Dear Neighbor,
Water safety, quality, rates and conservation affect our everyday lives. That’s why; I strongly believe that our voices can be best heard by electing and appointing people who are committed to providing Safe, Clean, Affordable water and who are committed to the Conservation of our precious water resources.
As your neighbor and as a father of three children, I understand your concern for safe, quality drinking water, low water rates and the importance of conserving our water resources to safeguard our supply.
As a native of Los Angeles County I was raised in the Division 5 area, where I currently reside with my three wonderful daughters. I graduated locally, from The California State University, Dominguez Hills majoring in Public Administration earning a Master's degree in Public Management and a Bachelor's degree in Public Financial Management. My career experience has provided me with experience in planning and in working directly with governmental budgets. In addition, I have participated in my community as a volunteer with my children’s youth league, served as Chairman of our elementary school’s site council and as Director of a local food pantry.
If I am elected to represent you on the Central Basin Municipal Water District I will focus on the following:
* Safety: Reliable water service with consistently high quality drinking water.
* Rates: Maintaining the highest quality at the lowest rates possible.
* Conservation: Making sure that our water supply is conserved and that ample reserves are maintained to insure our vital water supply.
* Fiscal Responsibility: All government officials have a duty and an obligation to manage the people's money with the strictest discipline, in a transparent manner.
* Customer Service: Government organizations must never lose focus that they exist to serve the people.
I respectfully request your support in this election,
Jay Gray
